The Tunnel

“THE TUNNEL ISN’T ABOUT CHANGING THE PAST. IT’S ABOUT LEARNING TO STOP LIVING THERE”

THE TUNNEL is a psychological supernatural thriller about grief, regret and the dangerous human urge to rewrite the past.

After discovering a hidden tunnel beneath his dining room floor, a grieving man finds a series of doors leading back to defining moments from his past. Each choice rewrites his life, but every attempt to erase one regret costs him something even more precious, forcing him to confront the truth that some losses cannot be undone.

Overview

The Tunnel is an original British feature film combining the emotional depth of a family drama with the intrigue of a supernatural mystery. Although its premise is high-concept and visually compelling, the story remains grounded in character, exploring grief, regret, love and the consequences of living in the past.

At the centre of the film is Daniel Bowles, a man who has spent decades unable to move beyond the death of his younger brother, Michael. When a hidden tunnel beneath his home offers the chance to revisit pivotal moments from his life, Daniel believes he can finally repair the tragedy that has defined him. Instead, every attempt to repair one regret creates another consequence, leading him further from the family he already has.

Rather than asking whether the past can be changed, The Tunnel asks a more universal question:
How much of your present are you willing to sacrifice trying to repair yesterday?

Audience

The film is aimed at audiences who enjoy intelligent, emotionally driven thrillers that combine mystery with human drama. Its themes of family, regret and second chances have broad international resonance and are not dependent on cultural or historical knowledge, supporting worldwide distribution
