About Me

Richard Warren is a British author and screenwriter developing original stories for film, television and publishing. Born and brought up in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, and now based in Hertfordshire, Richard brings a strong sense of place, family and ordinary people’s lives to his writing.

His debut novel, WHATEVER THE SEASON, draws on the world of White City and his lifelong passion for Queens Park Rangers. Rooted in football, friendship, family and community, the novel explores the loyalties and memories that stay with us as life changes. Richard is a lifelong QPR
supporter, a connection shared by his three sons.

Alongside his fiction, Richard has developed a portfolio of original screen projects. THE TUNNEL is a supernatural psychological thriller about a man given the chance to change his past. ZARK: THE THIRD VASE is a dark family fantasy adventure involving a mysterious gateway, three ancient vases and a family separated across worlds. AI ATTRACTION explores a lonely man’s increasingly dangerous relationship with artificial intelligence.

His television projects include CRAGGILY VILLAGE, an ensemble village drama, and THE MEDAL, a story inspired in part by his interest in car-boot sales and the hidden histories of everyday objects.

Richard welcomes enquiries from producers, directors, representatives and development partners interested in bringing original stories to the screen. Screenplays, synopses and lookbooks are available to appropriate industry contacts on request.
